An oldie but a goodie “chand bali” earrings can safely be appointed Bollywood’s go-to style for any and every occasion. Named for it’s crescent moon shape, the design originated during the Nizam or Mughal era in Hyderabad. It comes in a variety of different styles but is usually designed with a jeweled center with delicate stone or pearl hangings. Although, quite traditional in design, the versatility of chand balis lends itself to be worn with saris, anarkalis or evening gowns and will, therefore, remain in heavy rotation for years to come.
