From the first look to the last that came down the runway, Naeem Khan’s Fall 2013 presentation oozed glamour. Inspired by the Art Deco period of the 1920s and 30s and the gilded splendor of the Byzantine empire, the collection featured slinky beaded dresses, shimmering gowns and richly embroidered velvets.
Every look in this collection was a standout and while Khan’s designs are most often described as ‘decadent’ or ‘glamorous’ the word that resonates for us is craftsmanship. The exquisite applique work, crystal and sequin detailing, and fine gold thread embroidery on velvet are the mark of painstaking attention to detail and intensive hours of hand labor. The outcome of all that hard work was on full display with this collection and we are sure to see these looks on the red carpet in no time!
